August Minutes Approved:   Susan moved.  Shanda seconded.

New Business:

Update on Soberfest – Dance club opening delayed.  Probably will open in October.  Now considering a New Year’s Eve event.

Website update

Legislative discussion – Susan motioned that we delay this discussion until there is better attendance at a meeting.

MSU Midnight Mania October 8th.   Jenna will talk with Donna LaRue about having MSU PD officers assist in showing the goggles.

Promotion: Jenna will check on the prices for movie screen advertising – the group discussed reusing the photograph from the “if you drink and drive, we supply the chasers,” poster.  The group also suggested having posters hung around MSU and the community again – Shanda suggested restrooms in bars as a good venue.  Jenna said she would contact Dean Puffer at MSU and Teresa Flannigan at Community Corrections for a “volunteer” to hang the posters.

        April/May DUI stats project is in progress

Labor Day DUI prevention article ran in the Big Sky Weekly and Belgrade News.

        Parent Party Patrol – Jenna discussed the need for a new insurance representative/presentor.  She suggested leveraging the fact the county purchases their insurance through First West if there is a problem in getting a new presentor.  
She will meet with school administrators on September 19th to promote the forums and gather ideas for venues and promotion.  
                        Jami suggested a new name for the forum related to the issue of  risks of social hosting . . .

Finances
New promotional Key chains arrived.  The old ones have had stickers put on them.  All ready to be used for Midnight Madness at MSU.
